Direct Animal Action are taking action for rodeo animals this summer and we need you to join us.
We’re holding a series of protests across the season with our first at the Warkworth Rodeo on New Years Day. Join us to say, “Ban Rodeo – end the abuse!”
Click Going on our Facebook event for the latest updates.
All placards and banners will be provided as we’re sticking to a set theme. So no need to bring anything, just yourself and some friends!
Please wear black clothing to fit our theme.
We ask you to arrive at Hudson Road, Warkworth (left off State Highway 1, opposite the A&P Showgrounds entrance) at 10:30am on Wednesday 1st January for a briefing session from our action co-ordinators.
This will be a peaceful and positive action aimed at raising awareness within the local community and keeping the national spotlight on the suffering of rodeo animals. We ask that everyone respects the vision of this action to help us minimize the likelihood of confrontation.
Rodeo can never be humane. It’s up to all of us to call the Government to end this cruelty. Start 2020 off by taking action for the animals, we’ll see you there!
Our second protest will be in Whangarei on Saturday 11th January 2020 12-1pm at 32 Kokopu Block Road, Maungatapere.
Our final protest of the season will be in the Waikato on Saturday 15th February 2020 1-2pm at Kihikihi Domain, Kihikihi, Te Awamutu.
